@subscriptiongroup thanks for that – it’s crazy how this has been going on for so many years without a solution. It’s actually one of the key deciding factors behind why we have decided to go with shopify for a new brand we are working on.
Unfortunately we are still seeing duplicate payments every now and then when a customer pays with apple pay via stripe….Has anyone managed to figure out what causes this? It doesn’t happen on all transactions but just every now and then.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Some Images are not showingwe are having the same issue ….the product category page images werent showing. we disabled the plugin and they then displayed fine and now we have reenabled working ok again – but for how long?
Hi George, i think we may use a load balancer but not 100% certain. I actually experienced this more by chance/luck than anything else. So what happened was i paid using apple pay on our website, and i saw a “payment failed” message. So i paid again…this time it was successful…on the backend both transactions had gone through. So something is happening where a payment failure message is being displayed to customers even though the payment did actually go through….thus causing the customer to inadvertently order a 2nd time.

In reply to: [Hreflang Manager] This plugin doesnt appear to support x-default tag?But it is both – we want customers who google does not know their location and language for to go to the x-default (main) domain. As well as all english speaking customers from great britain.
If we do not list a x-default where will google send customers who they do not know their language or location?

In reply to: [Hreflang Manager] This plugin doesnt appear to support x-default tag?Apologies yes found it now.
Are we doing this correctly. Please see the following example: –
UK and main website: –
https://www.alfredco.com/shop/mens-jewellery/mens-necklaces/mens-gunmetal-chain-necklace/
Same product on our USA website: –

thank you
yes started happening again for us now; it’s crazy that woocommerce are allowing these updates without proper due diligence and UAT. We currently have 2 issues with apple pay on our site: –
- duplicate payments – first one will deliver a “payment failed” message to customer even though it went through which means customer pays again causing a duplicate
- even though free shipping is selected, customer is still charged for one of the billable shipping methods i.e. express. So customer selects free but ends up being charged for the express.
Hi, so you’re saying just post the link to the google drive here in an open forum?! It contains confidential customer information!
I can provide the logs but im not comfortable providing them here.
The problem is, it doesnt happen with all orders.
So the above steps aren’t really going to help as chances are the order will go through ok.
This is happening again for us unfortunately. Duplicate transactions when customers pay with apple pay via stripe.
Customers apparently see a failed message so they attempt payment again. Then what happens is the first payment didnt actually fail and they end up having two payments made.
Extremely frustrating to say the least…especially because its now been going on years!!
The issue seemed to resolve itself but all of a sudden we’re seeing lots of these duplicates once again on our woocommerce when customers pay via Apple Pay!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Can anyone recommend a good quality returns/exchanges solution? Thanks for this; I’d seen this one before and didn’t realise it could handle exchanges. I will have a look into it though thanks again.
@adespresso are you still supporting this plugin as we have noticed that there isn’t any responses to any of the topics raised in this forum as of late.
PS reading the facebook help page it advises: –
For events to be deduplicated, you or your developer should add 2 event parameters that help us determine if the events are the same: the event name (for example, Purchase or AddToCart) and the event ID.
I thought both the event name and event ID were automatically sent with this plugin….is this not the case?
