 * thanks for your response.
    The problem vanished in the meantime, not by reinstalling
   the theme. But what I did was the following: I added two more header images and
   chose random selection of them. After that, the page was there again in the frontend
   even when I was logged out. So the problem doesn’t exist anymore though I don’t
   unterstand why. :-/ Regards
