I figured out the solution here. I realized later that I had the homepage‘ page attributes’ set to Grid. I found the CSS code to remove the ‘read more’ links. What I’m trying to figure out is how to have it not show so much of the text from the child page. Can I change the size of that area beneath the feature image thumbnail? The child pages are what populate the ‘grid’ beneath the main content area. Yes, it would be great if there were separate instructions for .com versus .org users. For someone who is new to WordPress, it has been very confusing to view live demos of various themes, and then not see anything related to those instructions in my .org cms interface. And it’s not just Edin that has that problem, by the way. It seems that instructions for most of the themes that I have seen are directed at .com users. Now that I know this is the case, I can adapt.
