I looked into the file /admin/views/tabs/metas/paper-content/breadcrumbs-content.php, and found that the Breadcrumbs Enable/Disable is displayed conditionally: if ( ! current_theme_supports(‘ yoast-seo-breadcrumbs’ ) ) { … } * So basically, they are only shown IF the current theme is not supporting Yoast breadcrumbs. My theme (Movedo) DOES support it, but also supports other breadcrumbs plugins. In order to use another one, I need to disable Breadcrumb management from Yoast SEO, which I can’t since it’s not shown. * I would keep it without a problem, but there’s a bug when interacting with WPML( links to wrong languages appearing in Breadcrumbs) which urges me to find an alternative. * I really think this “IF” should be removed from the plugin, since a theme may very well support other Breadcrumb plugin also. * Any idea how I could navigate this? I tried the “Reset Indexables tables & migrations” solution, but it only works on first page reload, e.g. for Italian it will show correct Italian categories AND links. However, if I move on to another language, it will show Italian links in the breadcrumbs, even though the texts are correctly translated. Thank you in advance for any help. We do have a license, if needed for further study of the issue. * Edit 1: If in “Yoast Search Appearence” -> Section “Taxonomy to show in breadcrumbs for content types”, one selects a content type other than “Category”, it seems to work (I have it as a menu also). Default is “event”, put something different and unique, for test’s sake, like “event123”. If it works, the root cause most probably was a conflict with the other event plugin. Turns out I already had an events plugin that came with the theme, and was binding to the slug first, so it was the one saying “Page not found”, not The Events Calendar. So all good: changed the slug for TEC, and things are good: nice plugin, very feature rich. Could this be because I have the site installed in localhost, under a folder name??? Or somehow linked to the general permalink structure?
