ok, I have been messing with this for a couple days. After cleaning the database using the plugin you suggested (thanks!) I was able to get the migration to run. Unfortunately I had a critical error occur. The Local host I was using was Mamp. I had troubles with getting past the fatal error. So for S&G I tried the migration on local by flywheel. Everything appears to be fine. Things like sidebars and headers need to be redone but other than that everything seems to have moved over ok.

Just because I like to slam my head into a wall repeatedly, I tried making a new instance on Mamp. I got the migration to go but got the critical error again. This time I was able to rename the plugin folder thus deactivating the plugins. As I reactivated them I found that it was my foo gallery and foo box plugins that were the problem. I tried deleting and reinstalling but that didn’t work. Thought you might like to know this for future reference.

My remaining question is: Is it normal for the header images and sidebars to have to be redone when doing migrations? In both local by flywheel and Mamp these needed to be redone.

I tried that. I downloaded the file to the computer then uploaded it with the plugin but when I went to restore it the process got stuck at 58% for 14 hours. It was converting data base files into partial files. I tried again after reading your response and at 58% that process started again. Any suggestions? I suppose I try the whole process over and make a new file.
