In reply to: [WP-FFPC] Issues with cached pagesHi doconeill,
First problem: if there’s no info on the theme in the URL right now I don’t think there’s a way to solve this. I’m going to think about the topic.
Second problem: if the logged-in pages could be identified by and URL pattern, you could add an exception to nginx, but since nginx is unable to analyze content normally, without a “hacked” nginx, it’s not possibile to diverse this way.
I’ll look deeper how to check for a cookie from nginx, this might solve it.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Backend status: down?Hi hausinteractive,
Which PHP memcache module are you using: Memcache or Memcached?
Could you please send me the config of the PHP module as well?Hi fhoech,
I’m going to take a look at this one, thank you very much, I think I’ll be integrated into the plugin.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] Does WP-FFPC support Multisite?Hi @cheezitman,
Multisite: yes, it supports, but not per site. The admin moves into the Network Admin if used in multisite install.
For BuddyPress, that’s another question; I would not really recommend caching with BuddyPress this way. Object cache and persistent caches; maybe database cache ( better if on the DB side itself ), but full page cache on a community site is dangerous in my opinion.
If really needed, put the inactivation time to 1, or 2 seconds at max, doing a micro-caching. This saves from an agressive load, but does not cripple the site’s update possibility at total.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Memcache In Protocol Mode BinaryHi @pepejose,
I’m sorry, I didn’t have any time to retouch the plugin until now.
Actually I’m unable to figure out the memcache modul & binary mode error, it seems to be deeper than my plugin. But! Eventually I’ve made a progress and made the memcached modul to go with binary mode and be compabible with nginx as well – if you could use that, that may help you.
Cheers,

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Memcache In Protocol Mode BinaryHi Justin,
No, I wasn’t able to reproduce the bug yet. To be honest, I did not have the time to put together a system with the versions you described, but I still want to figure this out, I just don’t really know, when.
My system is an Ubuntu 11.10, with the following versions:
Memcached 1.4.7 ( from ubuntu package)
PHP Memcache 2.2.6 ( 3.0.6 is still beta, that’s the reason )
PHP Version 5.3.6-13ubuntu3.6… and now I see that the reason I’m unable to reproduce it is that I’m using pre 3.0 version of PHP-Memcache.
I’m going to upgrade it and get back to this problem.

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Memcache In Protocol Mode BinaryHi,
I’ll make some tests with binary protocol on an other machine as well to see if anything happens.

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Cache Invalidation MethodYes.
But it is writted right below the select box…
WARNING! When selection “all”, the cache will be fully flushed, including elements that were set by other applications.
Solved here as well, thanks for everyone.

In reply to: [WP-FFPC] [Plugin: WP-FFPC] Memcache In Protocol Mode BinaryAlthough it sounds great I have no idea yet how to even get started hunting the cause, but I do want to solve it π
