 * Is there no way to make this walkthrough/upgrade guide sticky? It would help
   out a lot of people.

 * What do you mean, “game writer”? Version 2.x was released and they are already
   dot version updates into it.

 * The events are no longer posts! At least, no longer regular posts. They’re “custom
   post types”. Yeah, I don’t like it much either (and am sticking with the old
   version).
 * However, Jonas Grumby provided a hack to restore some of that functionality for
   2.x, which Tribe is including on their blog site somewhere.
 * Edit: Somewhere is [http://tri.be/show-your-events-in-the-main-post-loop/](http://tri.be/show-your-events-in-the-main-post-loop/)

   if you’re interested in reverting.
 * Good luck.

 * Much of this has been discussed, and I more or less agree. See also [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-walkthrough-the-6-steps-to-upgrading-from-165-to-20?replies=30](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-walkthrough-the-6-steps-to-upgrading-from-165-to-20?replies=30)
 * Unfortunately they had no way to warn people during the automatic upgrade via
   WordPress.org.

 * Looks like a bug to me. Even shows 31 days in February!
 * FWIW, the OLD version (which I’m still running) does not have this issue.

 * Thank you mykkal, that was simple and actually makes sense to me.
 * I guess what’s weird is why they would change the URLs at all during migration.
   Could the 301s be inserted during the regular TEC 2.x migration tool, or would
   higher level webmaster modifications be required (e.g. htacess)?

   Events Manager Extended and Events Made Easy, and you’re asking that the original
   fork project be renamed. Gotcha. I’ll back out of this as it’s not my concern…

 * Okay, thanks. I’m still trying to use the native WP gallery support as much as
   possible, since the plugins all have their own issues. It’s actually working
   pretty well, helped a little by a lightbox plugin. (I mean in general; haven’t
   tried it with Event Manager.)
