 * Thank you for the update.
 * The previously installed plugin is not working currently and still is showing“
   Service discontinued” message on its page.
 * Should it be re-installed with the new version, right?

 * Trick with renaming the file to “object-cache.php.OFF” helped me too with a website
   hosted at GoDaddy. However this caused another plugin (PODS framework) to end
   up in a Fatal Error crashing the entire website.
 * I resolved the above issue by installing additional plugin:
    “Pods Alternative
   Cache”.
 * I disabled the object cache by renaming the file again and now both PODS and 
   GCal Events are functioning with no errors, phew…

   feature.
