 * Never mind. User error. It appears that Wordfence had identified some of the
   BackWPup activity as a possible cross-scripting threat, and on the basis of that
   I’d blocked an ip address that should have been protected.

 * Hmm. Still doesn’t work. But this site was set up a few years ago with an improperly
   created child theme, so it may be missing some newer features that would allow
   html in the user bio field. So it’s not an issue with Author Image — I can force
   it to accept html by removing the pre_user_description filter. I assume I can
   fix it in a more user-friendly way by either updating the theme or by using one
   of the plug-ins that apply wysiwyg to the author bio field. Will report back…
   and meanwhile, thanks much for the follow-up.

 * Yep. I just re-enabled admin search in Relevanssi and the MLA search still works
   correctly. Thanks so much for letting me know — and for the work!

 * Turned off the “Use search for admin” and all is well. Thanks!!!
 * If you find a way to disable it on a search-by-search basis, that would be great—
   but of the two, I think the MLA search is more useful in the admin interface
   than the Relevanssi one (for my purposes, anyway). Relevanssi, however, is great
   for the user interface.
 * Thanks again. The plug-in and your support of it are a huge help.

 * Yes, I did try searching on “anderson” with only the title field checked. No
   results.
 * I do have a number of plug-ins active besides MLA: .php on PAGES; Admin Menu
   Editor; Advanced Custom Fields; AG Custom Admin; ARYO Activity Log; Auto two-
   column; BackWPup; Breadcrumb NavXT, Broken Link Checker, CMS Tree Page View,
   Collapse-pro-magic; Custom Flexslider; Custom Menu Shortcode; Dashboard Site
   Notes; Debug This (also have BlackBox there but not activated, if that’s helpful
   for debugging); Enhanced Text Widget; jQuery Smooth Scroll; Just Variables for
   WordPress; Kint Debugger; Lightbox Plus ColorBox; Page-list; Page Menu Navigation;
   Relevanssi; Remove Image Links; Revision Control; Search & Replace; Simple Staff
   List; Ultimate TinyMCE; Wordfence Security; WordPress Importer; WordPress SEO,
   WP-UserOnline; and WP Google Fonts. Have you encountered issues with any of those?
 * And yes, you’ve still got the current email.
 * Thanks again!

 * Hi. Thanks for such a quick reply.
 * I do see ‘search results for “anderson”‘ at the top of the page, and “anderson”
   remains in the Search field. No searches appear to be working for me in MLA,
   though all the searches I’ve tried in MLA do work in Media Library, and other
   search functions on the site are working normally.

 * I’ve just run into a different type of pagination issue. If I try to filter the
   library by category — or, it seems, any filter — the first page displays correctly.
   However, if I then click on the arrow to see the next page, it reverts to showing
   me the full library.
 * So, for example, when I filter on one category, it comes up showing that I’m
   on page 1 of 3. But when I click the next arrow, I end up on page 2 of 8.
 * I didn’t notice that before this latest update — but it could be that I just
   didn’t notice it. I did just add several other plug-ins recently, so I suppose
   it could also be an interaction.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi David —
 * Sending page link by email. And yes, it does seem that the issue is essentially
   the same. One photo is within a “callout” field created through Advanced Custom
   Fields plug-in, called within a sidebar widget created using Enhanced Text Widget.
   So there’s a the_field shortcode to pull in the sidebar text the client enters.
   And the text widget itself is within an aside shortcode.
 * The other photos are within the body of the page but within a hidden div, referenced
   by links that open a lightbox, using Lightbox Plus Colorbox. So I guess if Lightbox
   is using a shortcode both for the link and for the id of the hidden div that
   the link opens, it also qualifies as a shortcode within a shortcode.
 * Like UaMV, though, this really isn’t a significant problem since it all displays
   fine on the front end. I just wanted to figure out what the issue was so that
   I could explain it to my client when I turn this over to them in a couple of
   weeks.
 * Thanks so much for the quick response — and for the plug-in, which is a huge
   help.

 * I have a similar issue, with images showing up as correctly parented in the library
   list but as orphaned/bad parent in assistant. In one case, it’s because I’ve
   uploaded the image to a sidebar callout that is set up using Advanced Custom
   Fields. In another, it’s because several images are within a post, but set to
   display (in a lightbox) only when a link is clicked. Are these types of uses
   something you might incorporate into an upcoming update, or do you have any recommendations
   for changes I might make?
 * Thanks!
