In reply to: [WP Last Modified Info] Short Code Doesn’t Work On All PostsHas anyone else experienced this weird behavior on a small fraction of their posts? I just created a brand new post where the shortcode is being ignored when rendered.
That’s one of the tabs. The other one is this one: https://imgur.com/a/KZaOEWL
These tabs impact the publish date/time and the last revised date/time.
It might be helpful to create an FAQ about these since I assumed your plugin followed the default WP editing behavior. I can understand how these options are helpful for various circumstances!
I thank you for the reply and myself for not giving up on your great plugin!I appreciate your writing back. Something must have changed with the Settings tab inside the plugin, at least since I started using your plugin 2.5 years ago.
I have compiled a PDF showing my GUI for scheduling and submitting a revision using the free version of the plugin with a fairly vanilla theme: Twenty Sixteen, published by Automattic, the creators of WordPress. In that PDF, I also include the two Settings tabs that solved my issue. I was looking for fairly default behavior, which is not what the default selections were in the tabs. I modified the settings so that the modified date always updates with revisions, but the publish date never does.
This might be a good thing for your support team to keep top of mind, and might also be helpful in your FAQs and documentation. If that advice already exists, I obviously missed it!
I’d be glad to send the PDF but can’t do so through the support system here. Thank you again for your support and help of a really fabulous plugin. Thanks for the reply. I think I have figured this out. I am using the free version that doesn’t have this button. I looked at the features of the premium product and noticed the button that you mentioned.
It’s still a great product – I won’t withdraw or change my 5-star review – but unfortunately, that added functionality isn’t worth $70/year to me.

In reply to: [WP Last Modified Info] Short Code Doesn’t Work On All PostsI just found a new post with the same issue, where the shortcode is ignored when the HTML renders.
I like this plugin, but don’t like the randomness in which it doesn’t work.

In reply to: [WP Last Modified Info] Short Code Doesn’t Work On All PostsI just found a Web page where the shortcode is being ignored as I reported last month. This time it was on a Web page versus on a post.
All in all, I’m using this on several dozen pages and post with no issue, but I’d love to get some insight as to what might be causing this issue.
Does the author or anyone else in the community have some suggestions?
I’m not sure what happened, but finally, the setup screen appeared after trying again after a pause.
This was caused by a separate plugin, I think. I resolved the topic since I couldn’t find a way to delete it.

In reply to: [Last Modified Timestamp] Custom Shortcode Doesn’t Always WorkThat teaches me to try to do debugging in the late night hours. I did have two separate and possibly conflicting plugins installed; I got a little plugin happy and installed a few too many, and recently went on a diet.
Thanks for taking the time to respond!

In reply to: [Strong Testimonials] Are there anti-spam tools?Hi @andtay2001,
I chose to use a workaround to the problem of the plugin not offering free reCAPTCHA. I created my own input form using Ninja forms that mimics the one offered by Strong Testimonials. It took a trivial amount of time to do that, and it eliminated the spam instantly.
Of course, that means manually having to copy and paste data from whoever submits their review. However, I often have to edit both the reviews and photos submitted anyway, of course, with the permission of the reviewer.
Good luck!

In reply to: [Code Snippets] Sample Ordering Snippets No Longer WorkI think I was one level too deep when I was searching for checkboxes/flags to look for that. Thanks for taking the time to explain and creating a great tool!

In reply to: [Strong Testimonials] Are there anti-spam tools?Hello @beatrice12,
I appreciate your taking the time to respond. I’m disappointed that I would have to pay $49/year for the level of software supporting this feature. I’m a church musician at a job and piano teacher and get lucky with a few performance gigs here and there.
None of these gigs allow me to spend ad libitum on my Website for premium plugin features every time developers don’t want to include basic features to keep their users safe. Thanks for the response, even though I may no longer be using your software.
Hi @misulicus
Thank you for replying and providing an alternate way to protect my files. I implemented your solution and it seems to work just fine, from the end-user perspective, in my testing.

In reply to: [Code Snippets] Clean Uninstall Before Reinstall@paddy-duncan Thank you for your valuable help. I was also honored by the plugin author commenting before I had a chance to fix my issue this morning.

In reply to: [Code Snippets] Clean Uninstall Before ReinstallHi Shea – Thanks for taking the time to write. Sure enough that little flag was there in Settings if you knew to look for it. Good idea about the database table. I usually don’t play there because I don’t have a reason to do so.
