 * [@tw2113](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tw2113/) We had something similar
happen with a “critical error” that crashed our site. I see a few threads reporting
PHP issues, so not sure where to respond, but WPEngine said it is causing “critical
error because it contains outdated code attempting to perform math on text strings,
a practice that worked in older versions of PHP but causes a fatal crash in PHP
8.0 and above.” Is that helpful?

 * Thanks! Though I’m not sure what you mean by “latest versions of the plugin” /“
alternative.” We using the version 2.1.0 of the plugin. Are you referring to
   something different?

 * I checked with our developer, and it does appear we had the plugin activated
on our test/development site, too. We’ve disabled it there so it’s just active
on our public site. We’ll report back if we continue to experience issues.
 * As a suggestion, maybe there could be a warning message or some other way to
prevent users from using the plugin on two sites, to avoid this issue?
 * Thanks for all your help!

 * Also I just got a **Delivery Status Notification (Failure)** message for the
   email address you provided ([wordpresssupport@constantcontact.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/briefw/replies/wordpresssupport@constantcontact.com?output_format=md)),
so I’m not sure my logs went through.

 * Hi! I just emailed the debug logs. Thanks.
 * We have a checkbox to help screen out and prevent spam signups from being added
to Constant Contact. Those spam signups still show up in the email notifications,
though. We can consider using something else, but we really want to minimize
the work a legitimate human subscribers need to do in order to sign up, which
is why we’ve avoided CAPTCHA, etc. This seems like a separate issue though–we
really just want to plugin to work as it’s supposed to! 🙂

 * Thanks for looking into this. Yes, it seems like the form message should be tied
to a list addition. (A form submission that doesn’t go to any list does not seem
   useful.)
 * I have indeed disabled the email notifications because we get so many spam/fake
signups. I can reenable it to make sure we have some record of signups, and dig
through for legit signups if needed. It’s just frustrating that we should have
to do this as backup, and I wish the app would just work smoothly.
 * Will standby re: the send logs. I did also privately email with someone at [support2@constantcontact.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/briefw/replies/support2@constantcontact.com?output_format=md)
and sent them our debug log, if you’re able to find it that way. (They told me
to post here as well.) Thanks.

 * I’m sorry, I did not see this response. Yes, we are having still issues with
email signups transmitting via the WordPress plugin to Constant Contact, even
when the checkbox is checked. It is randomly disconnecting, without alerting
us. And from the front end, it tells the subscriber that the info has been received,
but the email address does not make it to our Constant Contact database.
 * This happened again recently–we randomly stopped getting email signups around
07/06/23. When I discovered the issue and I tested it, no signups were coming
through via “Other App” in our Constant Contacts list. I manually reconnected
   the plugin on 07/13/23 .
 * How do I send the debug logs? I don’t want to post them in a public form.
 * It seems like a major flaw that the WordPress plugin connection keeps breaking,
and Constant Contact users don’t get any sort of notification when the connection
breaks–and that subscribers continue to get the message that their info has transmitted,
even though it hasn’t! Please help.

 * We are having a similar problem after updated the WordPress Constant Contact
Plugin to 2.0.3 and reconnecting it. You can find the form if you scroll to the
   footer here: [https://foodwise.org/](https://foodwise.org/)
   And here: [https://foodwise.org/subscribe/](https://foodwise.org/subscribe/)
 * I’m not seeing any new email addresses coming in. We used to get at least a few
signups via the WP plugin on average per day (Source: “Other app” in CC), and
those stopped somewhere around June 13.
 * I tried testing the form, and I get the message “Your information has been submitted”
on the front end, but I’m not seeing the email address show up in our contacts
   in Constant Contact.
 * Please help. We need this form to be working. There should be a better way to
test the plugin and know that our email signups are going through–and a way for
us to receive sort of notification if it is not working.
