 * Also i have set Captions and Titles on my gallery to ‘Dont use’ but they do not
   appear to be turning off. any ideas?

 * Is there just that one type of gallery view available? i.e. the Mosaic one that
   comes up?
 * If i upgrade do i get different sorts of gallery views?

 * I did as asked. same issue occurs. image does appear in the lighbox display when
   i click on blank page to open images.

 * Thanks for getting back.
 * i edited the gallery by swapping some of the images around and then i added a
   new image.
 * I am afraid the page is still blank but the image had been added to the gallery
   as it appears when i click on the blank page
