 * On my local server, DLM has a conflict with WP Smush.

 * That was it. I deactivated everything then turned on DLM. It worked. Now I have
   to go one by one to see where the conflict is. It was not the theme. I tried 
   that first.
 * Thanks for the simple suggestion. I have used this troubleshooting method before
   with great results. Don’t know why is skipped me this time.
