 * Ok just to put this to bed… This problem seems to have arisen because of the
   interaction between the plugin and the ‘Builder’ theme – I solved it by deactivating
   the plugin, uploading my icon to builder’s settings page (which overwrites favicon.
   ico once and for all) and then reactivating ‘All in one favicon’.
 * I can now see the icon in all browsers, in the front and back end.
 * Thanks for being patient Arne!

 * Yes, you’re right…. very strange. I’ll try replacing all the files again. Thanks
   again Arne.

 * very strange – my problem just disappeared after I re-saved the main plugin php
   file – I made no changes whatsoever though!

 * Thanks again Arne,
 * I see this line of code, but since I have overwritten all the favicons (including
   builder.ico) with my own version I don’t understand how it is still finding the
   original theme favicon…
 * Do you have any idea?
 * I appreciate your help

 * same problem – seemed to break something in the back-end.
 * everything appears to be OK client-side so think it’s fine to leave active (if
   you can put up with the error messages)
 * Any chance of a new update?

 * Ok thanks, but I don’t believe it’s a theme problem – I only added that information
   because I _could_ upload images via builder’s tools.
    The problem is with the
   media gallery, which is a standard part of WordPress, regardless of theme…

 * To elaborate further –
 * I am using iThemes builder to create the site, and I am able to upload images
   in the ‘edit layout’ section of builder’s theme settings – these are the only
   images that correctly appear in the media gallery.
 * I have also attempted upload the images manually using my ftp, but they still
   appear blank in the media gallery.
 * Hope this helps in understanding my problem, any help much appreciated.

 * Thanks very much Arian, this was very helpful – I have achieved the effect required
   using custom CSS like you suggested. I will mark this topic as resolved.
