In reply to: WP-reCAPTCHA V. 3.1.3Hey DavyB, I read your comment and appreciate the feedback, even if it was perhaps a bit on the aggressive side. I’ll try to clear some things up.
I know it might seem crazy that someone seemingly provided a fix but I didn’t apply it, the reason was that it’s a workaround not a fix (not to demean huyz’ generous contribution; I’ve already thanked him personally), and I was not aware of the repercussions it might have on the other systems (wp and wp-mu), I simply don’t have much experience regarding all of the intricate little differences between the APIs of wp, wp-ms, and wp-mu (and by extension: wp-ms network-wide and blog-specific, wp-mu network-wide and blog-specific) and it is in no way aided by the fact that they seem to diverge and converge at will. There’s simply a lot of combinations that I’m not familiar with. I admit it.
The truth is this plugin was originally just for wordpress, but someone contributed a patch for MU and then multisite. Obviously the APIs have changed since then though, and so now some of that support is broken. I simply don’t have the motivation to keep track of every little change and cover every edge case.
For example: the patch you linked provides blog-level multisite support but not network-wide. I agree that this functionality is better than nothing though, so I’ve merged in the patch and credited him and rolled out a release. Let me know how it goes for you. Hopefully it works out.
I’m not trying to hold this plugin hostage or deliberately stagnate its development, nor do I push out a release while snickering at the thought that you might have to ‘re-patch’ it manually. If anyone is interested in taking up development of this plugin I would be glad to provide access to the plugin repository, preferably someone who is familiar with the aforementioned intricate differences between the WP, WP-MS, and maybe even WP-MU APIs.
Otherwise, you might want to try out this plugin.
Take care.
I made the update actually, after being contacted by a core member.
However, you are right. If anyone is interested in taking up development of this plugin I will be glad to give you access to the repositories, preferably someone who is familiar with the intricate differences between the WP, WP-MS, and maybe even WPMU APIs.
Otherwise I guess you can give this plugin a try.

In reply to: [WP-reCAPTCHA] [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] problem with mailhideHey Shakal.hh,
Was it working previously?
What you can try doing is [nohide][paypal-donation][/nohide]
If that does not work, in the meantime you can try disabling mailhide on pages, in the options.
I need to look at the actual html produced for the button so I can fix this issue.

In reply to: [WP-reCAPTCHA] reCaptcha theme config does not workThanks for the heads up. I already pushed out version 3.1 which fixes this problem.
You can fix this problem now (before 3.1 shows up for you) by simply putting in 5 for the comments tab index and 30 for the registration tab index.
Or, when you get 3.1 installed, you should be able to simply ‘save changes’ in the settings page and it’ll populate them for you automatically.
The first one should work for sure though. Let me know if you experience any other problems. Thanks again.

In reply to: reCAPTCHA challenge appears only after 1st post/pageHey Russell.
The plugin provided from the google code site is outdated, you should get the one James linked to which is newer (latest version as of this writing: 2.9.8.2).
Also, reCAPTCHA was not meant to show up in the front page, but rather, in the individual posts’ pages. That’s most likely why you are experiencing issues.
Take care,
BlaenkHey H0bBIT, I have submitted a fix as version 2.9.8.2 Take a look at this post.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] Still see lots of spamSorry for the late response. Under Settings > Discussion, do you have this turned off?

Thank you edilton. Sorry for the insanely slow response, I had not seen this post on top of the fact that I’ve been very busy. Your fix has been included for 2.9.5 which should be released soon. You are thanked and credited, thanks again!

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] Regarding Public Keys and Private Keys hide mailGood idea, should’ve thought of it sooner. Thanks, should be there for the next version.
Another reason for getting that error, however, is if you switch the public and private keys. But I definitely will implement this. Thanks again!

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] reCaptcha fails to display on the comments formThe caches could be wp-cache or wp-super cache. If you don’t have them then simply flushing your browser’s cache should suffice.
Take a screenshot of reCAPTCHA’s plugin settings page (To see what your settings are), make sure to remove your public and private keys.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] reCaptcha fails to display on the comments formDo you have any type of Cache Plugin? Have you flushed it since enabling reCAPTCHA? And you’re sure you have your settings set correctly so that it shows up correct? Perhaps it would be easier to see a screenshot of your settings (Censor the keys if you like).
