 * Hi Elvis,
 * thanks for your reply…
 * The issue seems to be sorted out in the meantime – I suspect it was a combination
   of weak network performance on our server with unnaturally long loading times
   and the use of the Dolphin browser on my smartphone…
 * I have now switched to another browser and the lightbox currently runs without
   problems.

 * > You can uninstall the plugin right after it is installed
 * Having a completely different plugin to be installed FIRST before even be able
   to get this plugin to work without the possibility to skip this step in the first
   place is extremely bad behaviour from WP Maintenance Mode…
 * This is exactly what [@tomjenx](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tomjenx/),
   me and for sure other users too don’t want to do. Or simply can’t do, because
   of server restrictions.
 * I deleted the plugin immediately, without even testing it further.

 * [@aahulsebos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aahulsebos/)
 * I managed it to get it working now!
 * What seemed to be missing before was the filter in my theme like mentioned here:
   [https://complianz.io/blocking-recaptcha-manually/](https://complianz.io/blocking-recaptcha-manually/)
 * Following these ^^ steps and the added HTML field to the form (without tweaking
   anything else) finally did the trick with wpDiscuz.
 * Or maybe the update to Complianz version 4.7.2 was the reason!??
 * At least I can mark this issue as resolved…
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * [@aahulsebos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aahulsebos/) – this is what
   it looks like in BOTH(!) cases (either by adding an HTML field to the form itself
   or by tweaking the php file of wpDiscuz and wrap only the recaptcha portion within
   your div):
 * 1) [only functional cookies](https://imgur.com/xNvMEY6) accepted
    2) [all cookies](https://imgur.com/DLugeDJ)
   accepted

 * [@aahulsebos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aahulsebos/) – do you mean
   that
    – the whole wpDiscuz form needs to be WITHIN this ^^ div? – only the recaptcha
   portion of the form needs to be WITHIN this ^^ div?
 * Because simply adding an HTML field to the form containing the code shown above
   does not solve the issue…
 * >>_ I couldn’t find it myself._
    Adding an HTML field is not done yb any settings
   but is possible by adapting your form itself via wpDiscuz > Forms.

 * Thanks for the update, [@toxicum](https://wordpress.org/support/users/toxicum/).
 * Right now I downloaded the po/mo files once more from the official page ([https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/email-address-encoder/stable/de/default/](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/email-address-encoder/stable/de/default/))
   and put them in the folder in wp-content again.
 * And it works now (for whatever reason) without issues!
 * Thanks for your hints!

 * Hi [@toxicum](https://wordpress.org/support/users/toxicum/),
 * thanks for your replies!
 * I know how to contribute to translations (did that already for some plugins).
 * But right now I don’t want to contribute to translations or add/change/update
   anything, but just want to make translations work at all for the plugin in my
   environments!
 * > As soon as 90% of the translations are accepted, the translation is automatically
   > activated, and will be applied to installations on next auto update.
 * So does that mean as long as the development team does not “allow for” translations,
   I can’t display the plugin pages in my desired language?
 * I already have po/mo files created (with Loco translate) by myself and want to
   use them!
 * The plugin text domain says it should be in the folder “/languages”, but this
   does not work. And also moving the po/mo to the “default plugin translation folder”
   in wp-content\languages\plugins has no effect.
 * So I wonder where I have to put them to make the translations work in that case–
   if it is possible at all…
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * [@aahulsebos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aahulsebos/)
 * I am not afraid of tweaking PHP files to verify an intermediate solution…
 * So if you tell me what needs to be added to the form I will give it a try!
 * There is a “Captcha.php” file (I don’t remember the exact name/path and am not
   at home right now to check) in wpDiscuz, which renders the reCAPTCHA section
   by means of a function.
 * Maybe you can take a look there also?
 * Thanks for the other thread at wpDiscuz – I’m courious for their answer.
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * Hi [@aahulsebos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aahulsebos/),
 * thanks for your reply…
 * As soon as one is logged-in to a site, the reCAPTCHA is not required/shown anymore
   in the comment form – this is also what happens in your sandbox environment when
   i “log in” there. So to be honest I don’t know what you want me to try in the
   provided environment!?
 * Maybe I have to be more clear.
 * I want to provide the comment form with wpDiscuz also to guest users, i.e. visitors
   who are NOT logged in to my site.
 * To have a base layer of SPAM protection, I want to have reCAPTHCA to be filled
   out for these not-logged-in users before commenting.
 * So I learned that to fulfil GDPR I have to get consent to use reCAPTCHA – and
   that is where I need help. Because Complianz does NOT block the reCAPTCHA section
   in wpDiscuz’ comment form, whereas it does block the section in the default form
   of the theme.
 * And which update of Complianz are you talking about in detail, please?
    I’m using
   version 4.7.1 “plus” from GitHub (see my comment above), so I assume I already
   have what is required from Complianz’ side?
 * As mentioned above I checked Google reCAPTCHA in wizard > integrations, and set
   the radiobutton to block reCAPTCHA until consent is given. And as far as it works
   on the default comment form, I assume that the culprit is somewhere in the code
   of wpDiscuz’ form!?
 * Please advise.

 * Hi [@rogierlankhorst](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rogierlankhorst/),
 * thanks for your reply, too.
 * Unfortunately I could not find any occurence of “cmplz-script” in my site’s sourcecode,
   even tough Complianz is active (and was set to “accept functional cookies only”).
 * I created some screenshots of the existing cookies and their values on my staging
   site before/after being logged-in and also before/after accepting each of the
   two options Complianz offers (all, only functional)…
 * Please hava a look at them as follows:
 * 1) [Not logged in, nothing selected yet in Complianz at all](https://imgur.com/a5p7ai8)

   2) [Not logged in, selected all cookies](https://imgur.com/89uL4Ol) 3) [Not logged in, selected only functional cookies](https://imgur.com/7eTEAQE)
   4) [Logged in, nothing selected yet in Complianz az all](https://imgur.com/OqSjv8T)
   5) [Logged in, selected all cookies](https://imgur.com/UhozhyK) 6) [Logged in, selected only functional cookies](https://imgur.com/GtB8zbV)
 * The cookie obfuscated in orange color is the said cookie from All in One WP Security.
   This is “deleted” (by whoever!???) as soon as one selects “only functional cookies”.
   It remains available when “all cookies” are accepted (or no option is chosen
   yet).
 * EDIT:
    Activating the “safe mode” did NOT change ANYTHING in said behaviour or
   above shown cookie settings…
 * Any more hints?
