 * Hi Nobia,
 * I found & fixed the problem. The app Jetpack that I installed has an option for
   mobile devices that has to be clicked ‘on’. Thanks for your help and please pass
   along this tip: check all apps & widgets for mobile device options. It was also
   suggested that some WP themes do not work on mobile devices, but I cannot verify
   this. R.

 * Thanks Nobita, I changed the menu background color as you suggested and the problem(
   when viewing the site with my Android Samsung Galaxy S5) still exists – no menu
   items appear. The background color changed out just fine, but the menu items 
   themselves are hidden.
