 * I would like to put an ampersand in the actual link rather than the name but 
   I think I’m having the same problem..

 * OK, so that didn’t quite work, I’d better do it the long way.
 * If I type the links using &, it outputs as &
 * If I replace the & in the link with &, it outputs as &
 * If I try using & in the link, it outputs, you guessed it, &
 * In both of the two solutions I’ve tried, when I re-edit the link in the Link 
   Manager, the & has returned as if by magic!
