HUGE MISTAKE !! There was a wordpress plugin adding caching, there was my browser adding caching, and even my isp i think adds caching. There are plenty of plugins that show a blank calendar. I think WP already includes one by default. So i ftp’d 1 jpg into uploads folder (checked its still 644), activated *just* AddFromServer and again – cannot copy to same place.
