 * I am in the same situation.People are not confirming. I can see that these are
   valid signers (I know them), and have reached out to them to see why they haven’t
   signed. My guess is that they used a e-mail address that they don’t frequently
   use and haven’t checked (despite my on-screen instructions in the “success message”
 * DaveP. Can you tell me the database change that you made to manually confirm.
   I tried just setting the confirm field from 0 to 1 but that didn’t do it.
 * Thanks

 * Figured it out myself. wasn’t realizing that custom_field_label was on the petitions
   table, not the signature.
 * If anybody cares, it actually worked out really well.
 * Instead of using the custom_field_label and custom_field (value) in the signature,
   I moved it up into the greeting. So now the Petition starts with my constant
   greeting followed by my custom valued field. so looks like this:
 * Dear Elected Officials,
    I am a Little League Parent blah blah blah
 * or
 * Dear Elected Official
    I am a Little League Player
 * and as mentioned above (again, if anyone cares) I set up 7 similar petitions,
   so our officials will be receiving virtually the same petition with the league
   affiliation and constituent group up top.
 * you’re welcome, me

 * fyi, in October google discontinued the feedburner awareness api. Don’t think
   feedburnner counter is going to work without it.

 * gabewithafender. no editing of php is necessary. Go into Edit on the page you
   want to send your posts to and on the right you should see the Page Attributes
   box. The first drop down is “Parent”, the second drop down is “Template”. You
   want to set that one to “Category page with intro”. What you then need to do
   is ensure that the slug for the page is the same as your post category. I had
   to use the slug “name” (which you set in Settings/Permalink” from the Dashboard)
   and modify my page slugs to match the post category to get it to work.
 * With “Category page with into” you can put some static text in there which will
   appear at the top of the page, followed by the posts.

 * Just figured it out. I put the plugin in the First Footer Widget Area. Unless
   anybody has any other ideas?
