I checked your website and you have styles coming from an Siteground optimizer plugin that overwrites the default CSS from the theme and that’s why the menu doesn’t look as expected.
Please try to deactivate the plugin.Hi @fopeij,
The intended behaviour of the theme is to change the color of the active page, not the menu where the page is.
I see that you have a yellow color set to show your active pages. If you want to change it to red go to Appearance -> Customize -> Header -> Change menu and select Style section.

It seems that is a conflict with some styles coming from Elementor plugin. Please try to deactivate all the plugins and see if it solves the issue.

This issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. So please deactivate all plugins and check if it resolves your issue and after that try activating the plugins one by one to find problematic plugin. Then replace it with an alternate plugin.
