There are manual ways to do this, but this is practically plug-and- play. By opening windows, users have a cluttered desktop. The main pages of directories should _always_ be called`/ index.extension`. This allows for better linking, more memorable URIs. If a main page is named `index.extension`, there is no need to put the file name at the end of the URI. The problem is that if you put the search form on another page, it tries to search _that_ page. I might have changed around the search form a bit, but locate where said form is in your template. Replace the first line of the search form with this: `

Thus, keeping your archives better. (Example: I tested posts about 14 times before I got the blog running; my entry id’s are skewed.)
