   gallery plugins.

 * Unfortunately, our hosts don’t provide support — we have to figure out the problem
   and order possible fixes, but that’s all. That’s why I’m in this support area.
 * I’m curious — why do you think it might be a server issue?
 * You got me thinking that perhaps it involves permissions in a folder (allowing
   ASCII but not binary). But that doesn’t explain why the images show up OK in 
   the image editor, and as thumbnails in posts.
 * It’s only when you click on an image to enlarge it to its original size that 
   all the garbage characters show up.
 * The focus of the problem seems to be the Link URL. Could the issue be in the 
   rewrite rules in htaccess?
