In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] How to Edit wp-config.phpI’m reporting back on two issues here, so I’ll address them one by one.
Problem with subscribing to my blog
I used a Chrome incognito window to subscribe to my blog with my Gmail address. I got the confirmation email at that address and clicked to confirm the subscription. I did not get a welcome email with links to previous blog posts, so I can’t check that they are going to the live site instead of the development site. I’m not sure the subscription “took,” because I don’t see my Gmail address as subscribed in the Jetpack list of subscribers for my site.Problem with lingering links to development site
I used EasyUpdateURLs plugin, as recommended by the help desk at my blog host, after backing up my WP site, to change https://wp-nu0z3345yc.pairsite.com/ to https://barbyoung.com/. I changed all “Content” boxes except “Update all GUID’s (GUIDs for posts should only be changed on development sites.)”
Content/URLs in page content ( posts, pages, custom post types, revisions )
Content/URLs in excerpts
Content/URLs in links
Content/URLs for attachments ( images, documents, general media )
Content/URLs in custom fields and meta boxes
and I received the following message:
Success! Your URLs have been updated.

Thank you

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] How to Edit wp-config.phpI will wait to test my blog signup in a private browser window until I hear from you or the development team that the issue with the confirmation email links pointing to the development site has been resolved.
Can you give me more details about the “several things” in my site’s code that point to the development URL? I would like to be able to talk intelligently when I contact my hosting provider for help updating the URLs. What is it that I’m asking them to fix? Thanks,

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] How to Edit wp-config.phpI just tried to subscribe with my husband’s email address and got the same popup confirmation, that I was now subscribed as barbara@barbyoung.com. Also no confirmation in his email. Both times I tried to sign up, I used a different browser that wasn’t signed in to my WordPress site or Jetpack.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] How to Edit wp-config.phpHi Swish,
Thank you for your help with this problem. I tried to check that all was okay on the confirmation email by entering my alternate email (barbyoung@gmail.com). The popup said that I was now subscribed as barbara@barbyoung.com, which I was already subscribed at. I did not get a confirmation email at barbyoung@gmail.com. There seems to be some crossover in Jetpack between my two email addresses. Is there any way to resolve this?
Thanks,
Barbara
