 * Hey I was able to resolve the issues using the method mentioned in [this](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-strips-subdirectory-at-some-wp-admin-pages-with-and-reverse-proxy?replies=11#post-2445234)
   post
 * It was an issue of the server being behind a reverse proxy so I had to include
   some extra values in wp-config.php

 * That’s one of the problems. If I set .htaccess as it says in the Network setup
   instructions with ‘RewriteBase /best_thessaloniki’
    nothing will work, just the
   home page.
 * If I set it as ‘RewriteBase /’ all the pages and links in the main website will
   work, but I still can’t view the subsites of the network.
 * Folder and file permissions seem to be OK, which ones should I check?
