I can locate 1) IDs for individual CPT posts and 2) Ids for the categories. Is there also an ID for the actual post type? Is creating a gallery from featured images something you think can be done without building a custom plugin? * I’ve been looking for a solution that would allow featured images to be displayed in individual galleries by category. But I’m not a developer, so building even a small plugin is beyond what I’m able to do. * I’ve created a custom post type and associated a taxonomy for portfolio images using the very useful [Custom Post Type UI plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/) * `However, your description implies that you need something more like "display the items that are used as Featured Images in Portfolio Images custom post type items"; is that right?` Yes, that’s it exactly. Am putting together this site where both an isotope filtered gallery page and individual pages with galleries by category are wanted (not my idea, but there it is). Since it wasn’t network activated until today, I may have just gone to the wrong sub-site to look for the settings. * When I went to Settings > Media and there were no options, the modals were opening, so I didn’t look into it further. Then was told they didn’t work on other computers. This included the PC I use for testing (I work on a Mac). * Thanks again. * p.s. Since going through the settings, I see there’s an option for opening inline content, and see you have great instructions for it. It was just a matter of checking “PDF” and now it works in all situations I’m testing in. * Problem solved, but thanks for taking a look at the page!
