 * thanks for your quick reply. So as I said the issue exists for returning visitors
   which, I guess, have accepted the cookies.

   I previously accepted cookies for that site and when I visited it now the video
   was invisible. I tried to update my preferences, so I declined all cookies, then
   the video/placeholder appeared.

 * there surely are plenty of differences. I now have 3 websites on which I observed
   this issue. Could it be related to caching?
