The already created subscribers won’t have any changes on their status, no non-subscribed status. When a customer creates an account, a checkbox appears which asks if they want to receive promotional newsletters from you. If the subscriber does not agree to receive those types of newsletters, their Email status is set to non-subscribed. If they do agree to receive them – their Email status gets set to active. Regardless of that, their transactional email status always gets set to Active, which allows you to send them updates associated with their purchase and other activity within the platform.
