In reply to: [Google Universal Analytics] used to be a good pluginHi,
I am sorry for your bad experience. However, it is most likely that it’s not our plugin’s fault. Upgrade your plugin to the latest version and if the problem persists, try disabling other plugins one by one (at the same time trying to save settings in our plugin). This way you will find plugin which is causing the issue.

Upgrade your plugin to the latest version – 2.1 which was made available today. Select
- Custom Analytics
option and paste your custom tracking code. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Ok, I see. Great that it worked out! Did you experience any other problems while using this updated plugin?
Hello,
Have you entered full Analytics code or just the property ID? Try re-entering just the property ID (UA-xxxxxx,etc.) and save. It should solve the issue.

Yes, I am aware of the issue. I has affect a small number of websites. Here is an older version of our Analytics plugin: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/google-universal-analytics.1.3.zip
You can use this, until we fix the problem with the new one. Sorry for the inconvenience!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Google Universal Analytics] Text from plugin at upper left side from webpageYeah, that was my fault. Kept the same variable but changed the content it stands for.
I believe you can completely rely on the function the plugin provides. It will automatically track all the following formats: xls,xlsx,doc,docx,ppt,pptx,pdf,txt,zip,rar,7z,exe,wma,mov,avi,wmv,mp3,csv,tsv.

In reply to: [Google Universal Analytics] Text from plugin at upper left side from webpageHi Edwin,
I see you entered full tracking code, that is what has caused this issue. You just need to enter the property number, not a full tracking code.

It should not impact your Analytics data in any way but I will look into this today.
Also, what do you mean by custom analytics elements for different roles?
It is now available. Simply upgrade your plugin.
It is not possible just yet, but I will add that function. Maybe even this week.
