 * OK! It was an issue with a caching plugin that we were using to speed up the 
   site. I deleted the cache and it appears to be working again.
 * There is still one issue. The pop-up does not come up when we click the “Quick
   search” text. Only when we click the magnifying glass or the command K symbol(
   both of which are small)
