 * The nice folks at Truethemes (where I got my WordPress template) helped greatly.
   They gave me an easy fix that MailChimp should have known about and explained.
 * The thing I didn’t do was click on the ‘update list’ button in the Mailchimp 
   settings area of the plugin after reinstalling.
