 * I hope this is not too divergent for this forum, but I’m really new to this stuff.
   My hosting service is an ASP.net service. Could that be why it’s so much more
   expensive? I choked when I saw that Hostmonster offered MySQL as part of their
   standard package for less than I am paying for my standard package without it!

 * I was referring to Blogger’s ftp upload. Most people who use Blogger host their
   blogs on [http://www.blogspot.com](http://www.blogspot.com). I wanted my blog
   on my own website, so I use Blogger’s ftp transfer. All of the blog files are
   uploaded to my website’s server when I publish the blog.
 * My host charges $10 a month for basic hosting and another $10 a month for MySQL.
   It’s not a lot, but I’m not ready for the extra $120 a year yet. I’ll just have
   to upgrade my blog once my income allows for it.
 * Thanks for the responses!
