 * I basically have the same question, though it’s actually very close to this one
   as well:

 * I want 2 installs to share the same exact theme, without needing to update both.
 * I have checked out ifelse’s plugin but am not php proficient enough to figure
   out what it does or alter it (it seems to be an ‘example’ plugin…)
 * thanks!

 * bump. i have the same question – i want to reference posts (ie, put a ‘most recent
   posts’ list in the sidebar of one install, referencing another install on the
   same server. They’ll even share the same database by using a different prefix(
   so, different table set).

 * I figured out what was happening – all broken links were simply displaying the
   index.php in my directory. I don’t use index.php for anything (i have the static
   front page plugin installed) so I was getting the unmodified index.php from install.
   I changed that to a page not found error and all is well. thanks!

 * OK, I solved some issues. Sort of.
 * 1. If I delete my entire userContent.css I get the uploaded photo context menu.
   I do not wish to delete the entire file – does anyone know which lines need to
   be removed for that?
 * 2. I still need to figure out how to add ‘MYDIRECTORY’ to the image path automatically…
 * 3. I figured out how to link the thumbnail to the full size – the context menu
   does that.

 * ok – so i guess the solution is that i’ll have to delete the cookie myself.
 * which is fine, i’ll do that.
 * it does feel like a bandaid however.
 * imagine a user who creates a personal diary category (or page). anyone who uses
   his or her computer (friend, roommate, partner, etc) and goes to his site would
   be able to view the content.
 * it just seems… wrong, is all.
 * i mean, sure, now that i know it i can deal with it. in fact, i’m not that worried
   in the first place as the page i’m protecting isn’t linked to in the first place.

 * while i’m sure i could do that, it seems like there has to be a better solution?
   and if not, something that should be dealt with at some point?
 * i don’t know much about cookies, but aren’t there cookies that only last a session
   or something?

 * fixed!
    i’m still not sure why the admin screen wasn’t letting me save the field
   for the URI, but it’s working fine now.
