   ability to use it, that’s why I don’t. I might seem like an idiot to you, I probably
   am in comparison. I don’t even understand what you mean by “this is WordPress
   support” – my blog is WordPress so why is this not the place? – or “We have no
   access to your site” – who are “we” and why do you assume I would think that 
   you had? I just asked if anyone knows how to solve this problem. I can’t access
   the admin pages at my own blog that I had for many years, it’s a really big problem
   for me.

   Unfortunately, I don’t have the skills to use any of the suggested solutions.
   These are some of the things I may have heard of, but never used:
   * cpanel* phpmyadmin*
   hosting server* MySQL* Md5 hash* FTP* [WP CLI](https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/reset-your-password/#through-wp-cli)…
   and I’m weary about mucking about in the root directory (not even sure if that’s
   the right name).Sorry about being very clueless. Is there no other way? Not possible
   to contact WordPress support and ask them to kindly fix the bug, or send a new
   password, or tell me what I am doing wrong?
