 * I had the same problem. One way to fix it is to login into NS and reset permissions
   from within your Hosting Control Panel (nsHosting > FTP & Content Publishing 
   > Reset File Permissions) .
 * Unfortunately, since the site fix (from the recent wp/ns hack in April) I have
   had to do a reset of the permissions twice now in order to get images uploaded.
