 * I appreciate your help, but fear I still haven’t been clear. I cannot disable
   the “author” pages, because that is all of my content. And changing the template(“
   Archive,” I think) would affect all site search results. My problem is only with
   one generated page, not all pages of a type.
 * That said, I have wondered if there is an “if/then” statement I could drop into
   the template that says “if the result is to create (the linked page), do not
   generate.” But I’m not a programmer, sadly.

 * Sorry, I should have provided more detail. My traffic analysis plugin has a section
   showing what my most visited posts/pages are. Most of them are my normal content.
   But lately, the one hit the most by far is the one in the link. “author” is the
   user I created for purposes of content creation.
 * Originally the most-hit was just _domain_/author. This created a list of every
   post and page, in the form of search results. So I created a page with that URL
   to defeat them. But apparently the _domain_/author/author construction is still
   giving them what they want. I want to prevent that page from getting created
   or accessed. But it is not a static page–it is generated by WP each time–so I
   can’t just edit it. If I could, I could easily block anyone from accessing it.

 * Thank you , but the plugin appears to disable ALL search requests. I’m just trying
   to prevent the one search that results in this page, either through the form
   or through GET.

 * Thank you for letting us know, pressworthammer. If your action fixes things,
   please update us.
 * I suspect my issue is related to the 2.0 upgrade as well. I did several updates(
   manually) around the date I mentioned, but I didn’t notice the Koko version number,
   so I can’t be sure. The message to run a table update appeared soon after, which
   I did, so I have not tried backing out the update.

 * Hi Danny,
 * It is in the graph of Visitors and Pageviews. Basically, the week prior to August
   15, it shows Visitors ranging from 74 to 115, which had been typical all year.
   The weeks since, the range is 19 to 45. Pageviews has a similar drop. Again,
   Google Search Console shows no drop.

 * I write this with a wry, knowing, smile, on my face… I knew this was going to
   happen. 🙂
 * Printful sent me to Dreamhost… Dreamhost sent me to you folks… you folks send
   me to Printful! From my original post: “I contacted Printful, which had me revert
   to an earlier version of Woo, then sent other suggestions on the server side.
   My hosting service responded…”
 * Sigh.

 * Hello,
 * I deactivated Shipping & Tax, cleared caches, and added a product to my empty
   cart. A minor change resulted: When I viewed my cart, I was given the option
   to calculate shipping (instead of the error message). When I went to Checkout,
   however, “Invalid API key” was still there.
 * Thank you,
   Jim

 * Thank you for your detailed response, Shameem. But I am using WooCommerce Shipping&
   Tax. Given that, what steps do you suggest?

 * Thank you for the clarification, but obviously that doesn’t change anything from
   the user’s standpoint.
 * My theme and most other plug-ins are the same ones I’ve had for three years and
   are inherent to the design. So if there is a conflict with Jetpack, a relatively
   newer addition that replaced two other plug-ins (security and stats), then Jetpack
   has to go. I’ll note that the lag time has been steadily getting worse over the
   past year or so.

 * That does help, thank you. But it also is a horrible implementation. Every time
   I switch pages the lag is 30 seconds or more as it pings stats.wp.com. To edit
   a page, I click “Edit page” and often walk away to do something else while it
   loads. Now that I know this is by design and not a bug, I will have to go find
   another stats plugin and security plugin and delete Jetpack. It’s too bad; you
   have a great product, but I can’t keep losing this much productive time for a
   design that adds no value.

 * Thank you, but this doesn’t answer my question. Given that Jetpack is not including
   my visits, why is my website going to out “stats.wp.com” every time I change
   pages?

 * An update: I gave up and deleted and reinstalled. As with [@imgarten](https://wordpress.org/support/users/imgarten/),
   this did not fix the problem. Note that two other sites using the plugin, on
   the same server with the same versions of WordPress and themes, are not having
   the problem.
 * Please advise, [@lapzor](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lapzor/) or [@dvankooten](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dvankooten/).
   Thank you.

 * I just noticed the same problem on one of my sites. I would prefer not to delete,
   thus losing my stats.
