 * Hi,
    no I have no plugins for that. And I also tested with another theme to see
   if it’s theme related…it’s not.
 * I use the recent WordPress version 4.4.2. No clue, why it looks different in 
   your settings.

 * Just go to Appearance > Menu and edit your menu.
    When you click on a menu item
   you should see something like this: [Picture link](http://abload.de/img/screenshot2016-04-05a2kpbh.png)
   On the bottom you see the settings for user restrictions.

 * If “login” and “register” are just menu elements, just change the user restriction
   to “Logged in Users” instead of “All users”.
 * That might work in your case 😉

    the option.php was exactly what I was looking for. I was
   able to remove the link 🙂
