In reply to: [Easy Updates Manager] Updates still automatically done despite disabledI just deactivated the Easy Update Manager plugin and then was prompted with the typical notifications / banners that there are several updates available for my plugins, so this would indicate that your plugin is working.
However, this is very confusing as:
1) I don’t see any banners that updates are available when your plugin is available. How am I supposed to know that I can do a manual update if there is not notification of a new release?
2) I have another plugin (plugin condition) that shows when the plugins were updated last and some plugins were updated over the last few days (even 24h), so this doesnt really make sense except if plugin authors can release mini updates to their plugins that don’t require user consent and this plugin (plugin condition) perhaps considers these mini updates, whilst your plugin still manages to successfully block full plugin updates?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Easy Updates Manager] Updates still automatically done despite disabledthanks a lot for your response!
You are absolutely correct that hosting companies now have settings on this as well. When I first encountered the issue I checked my control panel on siteground and saw that there are options, which I have all disabled. Still, the issue occurs.
I checked the Logs, but the tab is completely blank. I guess that implies the updates are enforced from outside of WP?
Many thanks
