 * I am having the same problem. It will take a while for the download window and
then when it pops up it downloads at a rate of bytes/s and the file ends up being
corrupted and only 7kb when it is done.
 * I tried on in firefox and ie and on my friends computer too and the same thing
happens. Hopefully it is just a matter of downtime. This happens no matter what
version or beta version I try to download.

 * I found a way to sorta do it. WordPress lets you subscribe to blogs through rss,
so I got this php script rss2html, and I just use that to post my blogs rss on
   my web page.
 * You can’t leave comments or create posts from my web page though, so you to make
posts you have to go into the wordpress page, but at least it gives an easy way
to update my page without having to open the html editor every time.

 * Thanks for the help. I ended up just using XAMPP like I saw a lot of people here
using and it seems to work now!

 * I am having the reverse issue, I can host websites off my computer but can’t
   get wordpress to work.
 * I don’t know exactly what your setup is, but if you have a router you need to
first setup a static IP address on your computer, and then make your router forward
port 80 to your static IP address. There are guides on the internet if you search
in google how to do that stuff.
