 * xdesi,
    unfortunately, I do not see the <h1>Testing</h1> code in my page.php.
   Here is how my page.php looks <?php get_header(); ?> <!– LEFTBAR –> <div id=”
   leftbar”> <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> <div id=”post”> <h1>“><?
   php the_title(); ?></h1> <!–<h2>By <span style=”color:#0066FF”> <?php the_author()?
   > <?php if(function_exists(‘the_views’)) { the_views(); } ?></span></h2>–> <p
   > <?php the_content(”); ?> </p> </div> <?php comments_template(); ?> <div id=”
   links”><?php wp_link_pages(); ?></div> <?php endwhile; ?>
 *  </div>
    <!– END LEFTBAR –>
 * <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>
 * Is there a way of knowing whether any other template lets me have “comments”
   on blog page without downloading the template and then looking at it’s code?

 * Yes, allow comments is checked on the blog page.
    Is there an easy fix to this
   issue? There has been a alot of questions regarding allowing comments by my search
   of this forum but no definitive answers. If you know how to edit the page.php
   or template, I would love to hear it.

 * Chris,
    somehow, I fixed it by going to page.php with original code <h2>By <span
   style=”color:#0066FF”><?php the_author() ?> <?php if(function_exists(‘the_views’)){
   the_views(); } ?></span></h2> I put <!– before code and –> after code and now
   it shows just as I wanted it with Author only showing on home page. Thank you
   very much and am sure will benefit from your help in future as still have a few
   unresolved issues but tortured you enough tonite.

 * Ok, we’re only batting 50%- that one didn’t work as got error message when I
   visited the site. Any other thoughts
    Thank you. If other thoughts fail, do you
   think I could just eliminate that code <h2>By <span style=”color:#0066FF”><?php
   the_author() ?> <?php if(function_exists(‘the_views’)) { the_views(); } ?></span
   ></h2> from the index php file and just put my name on the top of each post as
   they are done on home page?

 * Chris,
    This looks like the place in the index php file to make the change. Can
   you hold my hand again and tell me what to do. thanks <h2>By <span style=”color:#
   0066FF”><?php the_author() ?> <?php if(function_exists(‘the_views’)) { the_views();}?
   ></span></h2>

 * Chris, thank you very much. It worked great! I would have never been able to
   figure that one out myself. Now that we’re on a roll- how about another.
    How
   do you get the author name to only show up on the home page and not on any other
   pages. Thank you

 * yes, actually I am referring to widgets.
    I did download plugin “widget-logic”
   to my site but really don’t know how to use it. I would like my home page (…com/
   blog) and pages 2,3,4 to have same widgets and pages 5,6,7 to have other widgets
   but I don’t know how to place this code in the sidebar using “conditional tags”.
   Could you provide the code? Is it also possible to have certain plugins +/- advertisements
   on certain pages and not on others. What would the code be for this? Thank you
   very much
