 * MOshu – didn’t intend my post to be an invitation here for people to comment.
   In reading the instructions on what to understand before posting, it states that
   you should comment on what your blog is about, which is why I mentioned my blogs
   intentions.

 * Thanks HandySolo. You are correct.
 * What I had done when I installed wordpress was I originally installed it outside
   the root folder. When i moved the folder, I guess it doesn’t add the ‘everyone’
   group to the security tab in the folder properties. So I had to add it myself.
   Once i did that, it worked.

 * Thanks for the reply, however, when I did that, I am still getting the windows
   username / password dialog. I think it must have something to do with either 
   the security settings on my workstation, or some configuration in IIS Server.

 * To add: I’m using IIS as my web server and while I think it is obvious there 
   is a permissions issue, i don’t understand why I can access web pages on the 
   domain, but just not the wordpress directory?
