 * well the problem still exists, however since you’ve told me that you could go
   to that link i know it has nothing to do with my wp installation.
 * i think maybe it’s the question mark in the link that’s throwing the flash off.
   i even tried making a separate html page for each button under the same directory
   as my wp installation. in these pages i used a meta refresh tag to re-direct 
   it the category page. still no go.
 * anyweezer, as far wp is concerned…..this problem is resolved. i will mark this
   topic to reflect that and do some new searching now. thanks for your help. take
   it easy……..10
