    It’s really no bone-breaker issue – using php 5.3 is 
   just doing fine.

 * Yes it is compatible except for the custom-header function (gradient background)
   not working under php 5.4
 * use php 5.3 for this to work properly

 * The 2012 theme does not have this particular function (gradient background)
 * The Kubric core theme (default) has been continued by Michael Heilemann .. maybe
   a good idea to contact him.
