 * Figured it out now, I deleted the old plug ins and the next restore run worked!

 * I checked all file permissions and they are all 755. How can I resolve the issue
   then?

 * my apologies for the late reply. I’ve tried searching in the logs directory and
   wp-content/updraft directory but there is no restore log that pops up. In the
   wp-content/updraft directory there are 10 log files (with weird letter/number
   combinations as name), but none I can find with the word restore
