I would do that or have your host do a restore from a week ago -then migrate the site to a test url and implement changes there before you pull the trigger on a live site – tip do not listen to your boss so much 🙂 It would not hurt to try that first. I deactivated my plugins in the site then re-activated them one by one (re-activate mandrill first) to see which one was causing the conflict. Oddly enough as I re-activated each plugin (one by one) the error message did not re appear in the dash. I was unable to pin point the culprit. My fear is that at one point google may change the algorithm and tick you for incorrect mark-up. I try to stay ahead of the game if i can.
