 * No, there was nothing special about the articles. just variable products (clothing
   in 4 or 5 sizes)
    I still have the error on a clone version of my website.

 * As I mentioned, I have done nothing but added a few products.
 * I have now removed all products after September 7th. Now the feed is working 
   again. So the problem is solved. I just have to add all the products again.
 * No idea how this could have happened.
    Anyway, thanks for the help, now I know
   where to look.

 * No, this does not solve the problem.
    I just remembered that around that period
   I added a number of new (variable) products to my webshop. Would it be a good
   idea I delete and re-add it and see if it fixes the problem?
