 * Since around WordPress 4.8.8 I have had the same issue with many sites I maintain
   for clients.
 * White Label CMS 2.0.1 was causing WordPress core and plugin update notifications
to not show in WP Admin.
 * – Plugins ‘Update Available’ tab/link is not visible
    – Get Version X.X is not
showing at bottom right of WP Admin – Dashboard > Updates shows no available
   updates
 * After deactivating White Label CMS 2.0.1, all updates are available.
 * Version White Label CMS 2.1.1 seems to work as expected, but I was unable to
update anything until the previous version was deactivated.

 * I’ve disabled ‘Notify admin if the number of active lockouts above’ under the
Main Setting tab. Would be good if this option was on the Notifications page
   too or instead.

 * The emails are now coming in every minute or less now.
 * Is it possible to completely disable email alerts?
