Try updating permalinks. Just hit update, even if the structure stays the same.

Unfortunately, I went ahead and reinstalled WordPress and dumped all of the old material (there were only 6 pages there anyway) before weeing your post here.

Ok, went though the steps to edit the password through phpMyAdmin. But, now when I go to the wp-admin page it’s redirecting to the root directory. I installed WP in the “blog” directory, so the login should be http://www.example.com/blog/wp-admin (which worked as of this morning). But it redirects to http://www.example.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to…….. etc. I don’t even get a chance to try and enter anything.
Any thoughts now? TIA!
