where the handshake took took 1.6 seconds.

 * Interesting. I enabled “auto-purge” in the plugin, and I was able to have a comment
get through and update the article with the new comment. This is contrary to
the documentation, which states “**Note:** This feature is superseded by Automatic
Platform Optimization for WordPress. If you are using APO, then this setting
   should be disabled.”.
 * In fact, it seems that auto-purge **needs** to be enabled for visitor comments
to post properly and bypass/purge the cache, when using APO.

 * Update: the above issue was on desktop devices. The widget doesn’t seem to be
working at all on mobile devices (the 300×600 ad flashes, but then disappears
   to white space).

 * Hi Thomas – thanks for the reply. Yes, here is an example of an impacted page(
   there are others): [https://20somethingfinance.com/search-page/](https://20somethingfinance.com/search-page/)
 * I have “#site-footer” as the stop element and 10px for both the margin top and
bottom. I’ve tried both the “improved version” box checked and unchecked and
have had the same results either way.

 * Marios – let me know if you’re interested in doing some one-off work here. Something
real simple (e.g. adding a “republish post” check box right next to the “Update”
button in the classic post editor. If checked, it would append a 6 digit republish
variable to the GUID similar to the example I provided. Thanks!

 * Update: AIOS was not the culprit.
 * It was a new setting “Disable the built-in file editors” that was automatically
checked in the “Really Simple SSL” plugin.
 * Thanks for your help.

 * Thank you for the reply. A number of email delivery tools not native to WordPress
use RSS feeds to automate the sending of newly published articles. In my case,
I’d like to automate the sending of republished articles as well, and keep running
into issues with them getting picked up. Trying to find the best way to do this
without hurting something else by altering GUIDs. If you have any suggestions
on plugins or code, please let me know.

 * I figured out how to export setting and submitted a ticket. Using the latest
version of the plugin and wordpress. I haven’t been in the plugin for at least
a year, haven’t edited my wp-config file and don’t have any other security plugin,
so something happened automatically with the plugin update.

 * where do I export settings?
 * using Apache. I do not have the disallow_file_edit in wp-config.
 * Maybe related – I’m getting the message in my dash…

 * I agree. This is clearly a plugin issue if the plugin won’t allow you to de-select
that box. I tried deactivating the plugin but that did not work. I haven’t changed
my user permissions in years and it’s still 644 for wp-config. This is a problem.
I can’t edit any theme or plugin files right now because of this. Hopefully plugin
support can help, but if you find a fix, please share.

 * I have this exact same issue. Even if I deselect and save, the the box re-checks
itself (overwriting my selection). I don’t have the disallow line in wp-config
either. My editing issues were fine until a recent update of this plugin.
