    Happy New Year all!
Is there anyone out there that knows how to add ZOMBAIOpayment processing to WORDPRESS hosted sites? I have a ADULT website, so I will not list the URL here. But I have been all over the internet and cannot find how to do it. ZOMBAIO gives me a script to add to my website, https://www.zombaio.com/developer_sdk.asp (script pasted below)I have NO idea WHERE this file is supposed to go. ZOMBAIO helps with installation, but when I request it, it states there is a problem with the installation and it has to be done manually.

    1. I know it has to be added via FTP, but where in WordPress should it be added??? The theme? The WordPress main directory?

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help or direction! Have a beautiful day!

Have you had any luck with this neat_geek? I'm trying to do the same thing.

    Hey there Krissy!

Yes I did figure it out actually. I took me a long long time. But I did you have to add it yourself. You have to create the codes for your payment buttons yourself in HTML and then add them to your site. You also have to install the ZOMBAIO code into your WordPress database and directory for it to read when you test your website in ZOMBAIO before you are able to make your payment page LIVE.

    Hope this was helpful!

Right on! Ok I'll start working on it. What advantage would the wordpress integration have over the standard "members" folder lock?

Well if your talking about the Members PAID plugin, which is the only one I have found that talks about ZOMBAIO support, is another way of integration. I believe it costs $99 bucks, but I wanted to figure a FREE way to do it. (LOL)Wordpress Integration is integration without a entire MEMBER set up. If you have a MEMBERS website thats great, but if you are just looking to set it up for the THIRD-PARTY advantages then I would suggest you use WORDPRESS integration to do so. May I ask what kind of website it is?

It's an adult website with pics and cameras. The way I've set it up now (based on the info from Zombaio) is one wordpress site in the root and another wordpress site in a "members" folder. I figured I would simply have a link from the "public site" to the members area which would open up the zombaio login popup. Not too slick so I was hoping for something a little more seamless. So the entire members wordpress site is password protected.

I have adult sites as well. Yes what you would do is make your blog PASSWORD protected and include your payment options within one of those pages. I thought that as well, but it didn't eliminate the installation of the ZOMBAIO code. My website is MEMBERS ONLY. If I am not mistaking you would like to create a Webcam site with tokens, etc. There is no way around installing it into your WordPress root manually. I wish ZOMBAIO had a option to just forward a link to a payment page but they dont make it that easy for us. And requesting installation is no way no how with them. Then once you have installed it, you can create your pricing schedule.

Could you give a little more detail as to how you made it work?

    Thank you

    hi all,
I need to install zombaio on my wordpress, and as I'm not very technologically literate I've requested for zombaio to do the installation. However, I've heard that zombaio request-installation very rarely (if ever?) works on wordpress. Has anyone here ever had success with zombaio request-installation?

    thanks in advance

I use Zombaio on my wordpress site and it works just fine. You'll want to get a membership management plugin though. The only one I found that works with Zombaio is YourMembers (http://www.yourmembers.co.uk/).

So setup your Zombaio account, then contact YourMembers and have them install it to work with Zombaio.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it!

Right now I'm only going to be doing single, non-reoccuring subscriptions, but I'll keep the membership management plugin in mind for when I am ready to expand to a members area. I had a successful members area up until quite recently (not a wordpress site), but starting over I'm a bit overwhelmed and don't feel ready to tackle that again right away.

When you first installed zombaio on your wordpress, did they (zombaio) do the installation for you, or did the plugin you referenced manage all that? I'm approved with zombaio, site approved/credit card companies approved, etc, but I'm at a loss as to how to install the script myself, so I requested that zombaio do the installation for me. Which I've been told by a few people probably won't work.

I'm hoping someone here (possibly you, Krissy?) will have something positive to report regarding zombaio request-installation. I have about 5 more days to go until I find out whether the request-installation will work or not, so in the meantime I'm trying to find out how realistic my chances of request-installation working are, or if I should be taking some time over the next few days to find someone to hire to do it for me or figure it out myself.

thanks again for your reply Krissy

I'm sure you could wrestle with the Zombaio script to work on your wordpress site but Zombaio doesn't support it (it will work but you're on your own) and they won't be much help installing it.

I would still recommend the plugin. I handles non-recurring "memberships" and allows you to do all sorts of stuff with regards to turning on and off access e.g. giving only "members" access to videos.

Trust me on this one, you can hire someone to build some sort of Zombaio integration for you and then you can somehow figure out access restrictions, or you can just set up the plugin. Not only will you save a ton of money by not having to hire someone, you'll probably save yourself a couple hundred hours sorting out the access issues. It's really pretty straight forward and a LOT less complicated than doing it manually.

^^^thanks so much, your advice is incredibly helpful

    Hey guys!

I apologize for the delay, I haven't been online in awhile. To respond.

    Regarding Zombaio Integration
I did not use a plugin, because the first site I installed it on did not have a members site yet. (I do have a members site now.) All you have to do is install the Zombaio script that they provide on their website to your WORDPRESS SITE. There is also a script that Zombaio gives you when your site is approved that must be installed to your WORDPRESS SITE as well. Once these two things are done you would have completed the MANUAL INSTALLATION. You can test your site in Simulation Mode to see if you have installed it correctly. Zombaio provides a Automatic and MANUAL INSTALLATION guide on their website. You can use that to help you install Zombaio as well.

I hope this was helpful! Again I apologize for the delay!

I've just taken a look at the "WordPress Plugin" from the developer_sdk page and it's shocking.

Its a very nasty script that just creates the user in WordPress without using any of WordPress to do so. It looks and sounds insecure and nasty. But I'm sure it does what it needs to.

thank you all for your responses!

neat_geek, could you tell me where exactly you put the zombaio script in order for it to be installed on your wordpress? As in, what directory did you create and/or upload the script onto in order to install the script on wordpress? I can't figure out where I should put the file when I upload it via FTP. I've tried to upload it into the 'public_html' but that doesn't seem to be working.

also, did you make any changes to the script itself before you uploaded it? I know for manual installation one needs to change some of the code, but for upload via FTP automatic did you just upload it as is?

    thanks in advance

    another question, sorry:)

reading elsewhere in the wordpress support forums, neat_geek, you mention having to create the payment button HTML yourself. Does that mean you did something other than just copy/paste the join form URL's to your payment buttons?

    Hey Jessie!
Yes as described in the Zombaio Manual Installation Guide, you have to create a directory in your WordPress Installation for the particular site you are using it on. You only have to edit the information pertaining to your website. The (2) documents that need to be uploaded to WordPress are:
    1. ZombaioGW_1_1.php file.
    2. WordPress Zombaio Script.php file.
Once you have added these (2) scripts to WordPress Installation, you have to create the .htaccess files. If you have successfully completed that you can then go to Zombaio Website Management setting and 'validate' your site with Zombaio in the setting page. If all is ok, they will let you know. If not, you will receive a series of messages letting you know where you failed.
I hope I explained it O.K. Good luck, I know how you feel, Zombaio does not make it easy for you to use them, but once you get it set up your like "that was so freakin' easy"

oops, I almost missed your last questions.

I created my own HTML buttons because the ones Zombaio provides in their code is very unappealing, so I decided to create them myself with a WordPress Button Generator plugin initially and then did it myself after that. But the Zombaio buttons are very generic silver buttons that did not match the color scheme of my website.

I've uploaded the script correctly (I think). As per the instructions on the PDF, when I search for http://www.mydomain.com/ZombaioGW_1_1.php I get the ”Zombaio Gateway
    1.1 Authentication failed.” message.
Now I'm confused by step #6

"You are now ready to execute the script (the script creates .htaccess and .htpassword files).
    7. Open your web browser and specify the URL of the ZSCRIPT as well as quesry string
    ZombaioGWPass and Action as follows:
Replace $ZombaioGWPass with the key you made a note of in step 4.
It should look something like this:
    Execute the link"

what browser do I open, how I do I do it, and how do I "execute the link"? I apologize for all these questions but everything I'm reading online makes me even more confused. I really want to try to figure this out as I'm concerned that if I use the members plugin linked above I won't understand that either and I'll be right back where I started.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat. I'm fairly familiar with building websites via wordpress, but this Zombaio implementation has thrown me for a loop.

I've even spent money outsourcing developers who've been ultimately unable to implement Zombaio for me. Currently, I'm working with a company "Phantom Flix" who has charged me 50 bucks for an installation fee (and the installation so far has been a nightmare - and still not complete a week later) and also a monthly fee of 25 bucks or so for ..... who knows what. I currently use the paid wordpress e-commerce plugin for payment processing via paypal. I have an adult site, however, and I know it will eventually catch up with me. Why I can't just switch from PayPal to Zombaio within the e-commerce plugin, GOD only knows! Hell, that'd be way too simple!

I've been reading through these threads and frankly, I'm so confused I don't know what to do. I feel like I've wasted so much time and money and I'm getting nowhere. I would be so unequivocally grateful for some help with this process.

I'm no coder, developer, or geek when it comes to building websites - hence my use of WordPress. It's been a godsend so far... but this is giving me a run for my money (quite literally)... and as others have stated, Zombaio sure ain't interested in helping with the implementation process.... ESPECIALLY for those of us who don't have membership sites.

I just want a payment gateway that legally processes payments for adult content - one that will allow you to click on a 'buy now' button, process the payment of the video, give the customer an encrypted download link with an expiration time as well as limited number of downloads (all things WP e-commerce plugin provides), and be done with it.

I didn't think I was ready to make my site a recurring membership site, but maybe that's something I'm going to be forced to do. Even then, however, I haven't the slightest clue how to make that happen - of course other than searching for the right plugin. But then will the plugin be compatible with Zombaio? With the e-commerce plugin?

I use Hostgator and therefore Cpanel. Cpanel automatically installs wordpress for me so I don't even know how to install wordpress onto my server. (How sad is that!?) .... so all of this talk of installing snippets of code is overwhelming to me. Where do I install it?

Do I install it in the theme editor for whichever theme I'm using? Do I have to actually go into my cpanel and add it somewhere?

Maybe this is a hopeless cause and I'll be forced to pay this guy 30 bucks a month to do this for me.... It's just frustrating because I KNOW there's a way to do it without that fee. And I ALSO know that the only reason I'm doing this website on my own is so I can avoid the ridiculous fees that clipsforsale.com charges (40%) per download. But if I'm paying this guy $30/mo plus Zombaio's fees, what the hell am I even doing all of this for?

I'm just frustrated and at a loss. I need some help. I've been working on wordpress sites for well over a year now and have learned a whole lot. I love wordpress. This is the first time I've ever posted on the boards, though.

I had to be pretty desperate to go there.

Any help would be unbelievably appreciated.

    Thanks, Debs

    Hello there.

I finally got around to writing/improving on the dodgy official Zombaio WordPress script.
And its now available as a plugin via Extend. Should make it easier to use/setup

Sorry I missed your post Debbie, I forgot to turn on Email Notify for this thread!
